ColorChip (Israel) and Molex (Lisle, IL) were awarded BIRD funding to develop a hi-tech, new generation transceiver which allows vendors to design mega data centers with higher port density and lower power consumption, simplifying installation while maintaining the same high-speed, small-form factor product.

The joint project presents new pluggable transceiver products based on integrating novel SystemOnGlassâ„¢ (SOGâ„¢) transceiver based on PLC technology of ColorChip and stub-receptacle/direct-mating connector solution from Molex.
