בימים אלו מיושם הפתרון לפיילוט באחד מן הנמלים הגדולים בים התיכון
לאור חשיבותם הגדולה של נמלי הים על הכלכלה העולמית, הפכו הנמלים ליעד מועדף לתקיפות סייבר מצד גורמים הרוצים לפגוע בכלכלות הגלובאליות. בשיתוף פעולה מיוחד מציגות בימים אלו חברת אבטחת המידע הבינלאומי Trend Micro ו- Rescanaהישראלית את Maritime One – פתרון אבטחת הנמלים שיגן על התעשייה הימית מפני תקיפות סייבר. הפתרון החדש כבר מיושם לפיילוט באחד מנמלי הים הגדולים בים התיכון.
הפתרון פותח במסגרת תוכנית BIRD Cyber במימון קרן בירד, הקרן הדו-לאומית ישראל וארה”ב למחקר ופיתוח טכנולוגי, מערך הסייבר הלאומי ומשרד להגנת המולדת האמריקאי ( DHS Department of Homeland Security -), אשר הקצו לאחרונה כ 4 מיליון דולר לתמיכה בפיתוח טכנולוגיות אבטחת
סייבר המגינות על תשתיות קריטיות של שדות תעופה, נמלי ים ומערכות ייצור תעשייתי.

Hailing from both Israeli and American tech hubs, four projects have been given the green light by the Cyber Project.
BIRD, the Israel-US Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation, is set to inject $3.85 million into pioneering critical infrastructure cybersecurity projects, a testament to the growing importance of fortifying cyber resilience in both the United States and Israel.

The BIRD Cyber Program is a joint initiative to enhance the cyber resilience of vulnerable critical infrastructure in both the U.S. and Israel
… The projects were selected through a review and award process conducted by DHS S&T, INCD, and the Board of Governors of the BIRD Foundation. As well as the BIRD grants, the projects will leverage private-sector funding and are understood to boost the total value of the projects to approximately $10 million.
