                                      Houston, Texas

September 5, 2007

Dear Friend,

The Government of Israel Economic Office in Houston and the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce cordially invite you to attend a luncheon featuring Dr. Eitan Yudilevich, Executive Director of the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation (BIRD) (www.birdf.com), from 12-1:20pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in Skybox room 302 at the Dallas Convention Center. The theme of the luncheon will be opportunities for US-Israel partnerships. The luncheon will coincide with nanoTX’07 – the world’s most comprehensive nanotechnology conference and exhibition—and will serve as an inaugural event for the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce (www.texasisrael.org), which is opening its doors in Richardson in September, 2007.

Established by the U.S. and Israeli governments in 1977 to generate mutually beneficial cooperation between the private sectors of the U.S. and Israeli high tech industries, BIRD has invested in more than 740 projects that have yielded direct and indirect revenues of roughly $8 billion. A long and impressive list of US companies have participated in BIRD, including: Applied Material; Archer Daniels Midland; Becton Dickenson; Eastman Kodak; General Electric; Honeywell; J&J; Motorola; Texas Instruments and many others.

We are confident you will find this event informative and enjoyable, and we look forward to welcoming you.
